November 2009 CLG Newsletter
November always has me thinking of all the things I have in my life to be thankful for – and being able to raise my children in the gorgeous state of Colorado is definitely one of them. How can we keep this state beautiful for our children and theirs?
“Going green,” by making small changes and raising your consciousness, is a start. Take small steps to save the planet, save some cash, and do your part to help Colorado maintain its pristine beauty.
Start by just picking one CLG green tip of the month and you’ll notice how good it feels to do something, anything, to make a difference in our environment. http://coloradolovesgreen.com/portal/node/112
And, now that the days are growing shorter, we’re using our lights more. Get the info on switching to CFL bulbs – the bulb life span and energy savings are astounding. http://coloradolovesgreen.com/portal/node/113
It’s official. Autumn has blown in and with a big winter “hello” reminds us that the holidays are pretty much here! Try a greener Thanksgiving holiday with these alternatives: http://coloradolovesgreen.com/portal/node/114
The cool days also keep us indoors more, so why not warm up with some homemade mulled cider or wine. Learn how to make mulling spice bags for yourself or for green, low-cost, eco-conscious gift giving! http://coloradolovesgreen.com/portal/Articles
And remember, Sunday November 15th is America Recycles Day! http://coloradolovesgreen.com/portal/node/115
Stay warm, be grateful, and thank you so much for supporting Colorado Loves Green. Remember – we are all about word-of-mouth. Please tell your friends and build the community! Any and all suggestions are welcome. Please email Kathleen@coloradolovesgreen.com
Gratefully,
